GET AN (EU) EORI NUMBER IN FRANCE – ONLINE APPLICATION
The Member States of the European Union have set up an EORI system for the identification of each organization or person carrying out import-export operations in the EU. In the absence of an EORI number, customs clearance in the EU becomes impossible and goods dispatched will be stuck at customs with a serious risk of being returned to the sender. Furthermore, a non-EU company willing to act as Importer of record (IOR) in France should get a French VAT number and an EU EORI number beforehand.
Non-EU businesses and hauliers willing to appoint a third party to obtain a French EORI number can use the form below to submit an application online*. The EORI number will be available within 2 or 3 working days (after the payment of our fees and the receipt of all the required documents). Once issued by the French Customs Authorities, the EORI number is valid for customs operations in all the 27 EU countries.
This form is intended exclusively for businesses based outside the European Union.
